Let it SNOW!!!

We were so blessed to have a snow day last week. I actually got out in it this year with the girls! But, the most fun this year was letting Koda try snow for the first time! He wasn't as thrilled with it like the girls were!

Takin a Bath in the Tub

I am a little embarrassed to say, Koda took his first bath in the tub! Yes, I know he is now 9 months and should have been in the tub sooner, but I the sink in the kitchen was so easy after messy carrot and peas.Well, he loved it!(And I was so glad he would "cover himself" each time I took a picture!)

Singing angels

This year Cami got to sing with the TSC Preschool choir. In these things you never know what is going to be the most fun to watch.... the little ones falling asleep, the silly ones showing their backside, or
your beautiful little girl!
What a doll!

Happy Birthday Betty

For her 37th birthday, my sassy friend Betty Apple wanted a night out on the town! We all got dressed up and headed to Nash Vegas for dinner at the Standard and then wine and Ivey Cake at....hmmm what was that place called?
Here we are walking the streets downtown (sorry mom, the dress was too pretty for a coat!) Me and my date
Ivey and her date (Mark was on the road)

The Family all dressed up (minus the Burkes in California)

Betty and her girls!

The birthday girl and her Prince Charming

For her birthday, I got Betty a bag that was not only for her, but for funds for children in Africa and the Jones family who need support adopting their two sons. This picture was just too funny not to show!
Looks like Ivey gave the Birthday Girl a Birthday "pinch"!

Happy Birthday Betty! May all your wishes come true!

Christmas pictures

Each year, I make a calendar for our parents and myself for the next year. So, as soon as the tree gets up, I take pictures of the kiddos in their Christmas p.j.s. for the month of December. (One of these will be on our Christmas card.) Here are this year's photos:

Merry Chritmas to all and to all a good night!

Morning Snuggles

The morning is a crazy time for us (ME) in the Carp house. Chris is gone by 6:00 to drive the bus. So, this leaves super mom to get ready and then get three children fed and dressed... and make sure all bags and lunches are packed and ready to go....I am not a morning person, so this has not been easy for me. BUT, when I come out of the shower to see me sweet hearts lovin' on each other in my bed, my stress fades and I see how blessed I am!

Happy Birthday Scott Dirt!

On November 9th, our beloved Uncle Scott turned the big 4-0. To celebrate, Kristen threw him a Titans vs. Redskins Party. The girls were so excited! They knew exactly what they wanted to buy him! Chloe wanted to buy him "hair" and Cami "the thing that makes you toot" (a whoopie cushion). Well, here is what that looks like.....Scott Dirt!

But the real excitement was on the trampoline, when uncle Phil broke every vertebrae in his back jumping with the girls on his back!

His biggest fans Aunt Mindy and Koda were there to cheer him on!

Thanksgiving this year

This Thanksgiving, my house got hit with many interesting "blessings". Chris got hit with the flu the week before, only to have it turn into pneumonia. He turned 38 sleeping on the couch! Then Koda had an ear infection and PINK EYE... We won't leave Chloe and her chronic asthma coughing out, or Cami and her ever flowing nose. So, this Momma is thankful for no school for a few days and for medicines to make my family better. (And dreaming of a night's stay ALONE in a hotel!)

Papa's got a brand new . . .hip

Papa walked all over Disney never complaining about his hip! Then on the 12th of November, he got a brand new one! To brighten his hospital stay, we didn't come with flowers or balloons....we came with GRANDKIDS!Koda loves his Papa
Papa even taught him how to do pull ups!

You would never know that man had surgery just a few weeks ago! He is up and running! (Leroy please pass your genes to Chris!)

Splish Splash Koda's Taking a bath

Now that Koda is sitting up, it is so easy for Mommy to stick him in the sink after dinner. But, now that he has figured out how to splash the bubbles EVERYWHERE we may be moving to the tub!

Koda's Dedication

On October 24th, our church had a baby dedication. Grammie and Paw Paw and Darlin and Papa were there as we celebrated Koda Anthony Carpenter.
Before Koda's dedication, we got to take our first family picture! Thank you TSC for the opportunity.....can't wait to see what it looks like when we are actually facing the camera! God definately blessed us with beautiful children.
I will now tell you what I think Koda is saying in these pictures....
"Groooowl. I am Koda Bear."

"Really, arn't I the cutest little thing you've ever seen?"

"Hey, I am talkin' to you!"

Koda got a picture with sweet Macy Williams
"She is so cute, mom!"

Darlin and Grammie with their granddaughters

The girls with their Papa and Paw Paw

The Carpenter boys were so intensely listening to Pastor Tom.....
that Koda feel asleep!

Pastor Tom prayed over our family and over our sweet little man with 3 John 1:4 "I have no greater joy than to hear my children are walking in the light!"

We pray that all of our blessings walk in the light of Jesus Christ.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from the Carpenter house!

This year we went to the Dodds' to trick or treat with a Roman, Roman princess, spiderman and Thomas the train....Oh, and TONYA!But, by the end of trick or treating, the sweet Mother costume took a turn to the half spider half train woman! Children beware!Back at home, Koda decided he wanted to be a rock and roller too! Thanks Dodds for the BEST Halloween ever!
