Our Spring break began unlike any others. We found out on that Sunday that Halle Henderson, a sweet friend in Chloe's class, had been diagnosed with the flu and then sent to Vanderbilt Children's hospital because her body went septic. Halle actually passed that night, but was then brought back. Tennille called the staff to the school to pray for Halle.
Chloe was never best friends with Halle, but she was a friend in her 2nd and 4th grade class that she knew as a sweet friend. Chloe wanted to do everything she could to help. she created this logo that many people actually used on face book as their profile picture.
We went to TSC for a prayer service for Halle. Chloe and her friend Aubrey wanted to send her letters, balloons and cards.
Then the school got involved. On Friday, our school was all dressed in red to P4H (Pray for Halle). Chloe designed a shirt for her and her friends to wear. Cami got to make one too!
That Friday was also a special day in kindergarten. It was a March madness party to celebrate daddies. God knew what that day was going to be because Chris got a day off and was able to be there with Cami. . . . and be there for Chloe.
He was also there to take the girls home early so that we could be the ones to tell them that sweet Halle was now in the arms of Jesus. No one understood why this perfectly healthy and sweet little girl's life ended so soon, but I know this will be a little angel we will never forget!
