One of the coolest things about working at Allendale is that I get to see my girls and my hubby. It may be just a quick hug or a wave, but it makes my day to see them in the hallway or at morning meeting. (I also try to make sure to go to the bus line everyday to flirt with the cutest bus driver!)

Tonight the Carpenter family (minus Chris since he was sick) celebrated Kristen's birthday at Carrabba's. The food was yummy and the stories were great!

We feel so blessed to have Kristen, Harrison and Clark in our family. (Oh, and you too Scott!)

Fun at the Playground

Even though it is still January, the weather felt like March. So, today, the kiddos and I hit ADES playground for a little kite flying and playground sliding! The only problem was that it wasn't March. After an hour the wind wasn't that great and it got COLD so, we left.

When Cami saw that Deanna had gotten me a chocolate maque for Christmas, she went crazy. She saw the chocolate and begged me to do it on her not myself. I think she may have thought that you eat it, but I am not much for facials, so I told her that I would. Today while Chloe was at cheerleading camp, Cami got the spa treatment! How cute is she?

In October, the Carpenter family loved being at Disney. We loved the rides, the characters, and especially loved the funnel cakes.

So, for Christmas, Darlin and Papa got everyone FUNNEL CAKE MAKERS!

Seeing that Chris actually made funnel cakes at the state fair for $$ in high school, he was up for the task of making them.

The kids were definately up for the eatting!

Mindy's baby shower for Harry

Starting in October, we have been anxiously preparing for Mindy's baby shower. The Carpenter sisters along with Mindy's friends Gabby and melanie, put on the cutest space themed shower for baby Harry.

Seeing that there were many professional photographers at the shower, I plan to add more pictures to this post! But, I wanted to make sure that this happy time was in the book!

Happy Birthday Teresa and Johnell

When it was Teresa and Johnell's birthday month, so it only seemed right that the girls meet at Tito's to celebrate!

An Amazing Night.....Amazing In Laws!

This Christmas, Chris and I got an envelope from Rita and Leroy....inside was a LARGE gift certificate to Fleming's steak house and a hotel stay in at Home wood suites in Brentwood. Needless to say we were very excited!

We planned it as soon as we could! So, Friday, January 6th, Rita and Leroy met us at our house in Spring Hill at 5:00. Chris and I kissed our babies goodbye and headed for Nashville.

At Fleming's, we enjoyed the most amazing steaks. Mine was a fillet Oscar and Chris had a bone-in ribeye. We found our new favorite red wine and enjoyed hot chocolate lava cake!

But, the date wasn't over! We drove to Brentwood to stay at the Homewood suites. Not only was it just the two of us for the whole night, but we were also able to watch whatever we wanted on T.V. We finally rolled out of bed at 9:45 to catch the continental breakfast before 10:00. Then, back to bed until check out time! We never get this treat with three sweet kiddos, so we loved every minute of it!

We headed south knowing this amazing date must end, so we asked Rita and Leroy if we could meet up with them at Target in Franklin(so that I could do a little kid free shopping for Harry's baby shower). After hugs and kisses, we learned that when they stayed at our house they had a "cleanup" day. I was so embarrassed. Working full time and being a Mommy of 3, cleaning is the first to go! But, when we got home, I kissed that emotion behind and LOVED the neatness!!!!!

Then I opened the refrigerator to find fruits, veggies, milk, and more! The pantry was full too! Can you believe these people? But, wait there is more!!!!

While Leroy was vacuuming he found that our vacuum really sucked...not dirt (hee hee)...but has been about to leave us soon. So, we came home to a NEW VACUUM!

Seriously, how do you properly thank your Mother and Father in-law for all this. . . maybe put it in a blog for the world wide web to see?

Thank you Rita and Leroy!!!! You gave as an AMAZING gift!

This year the Carpenter family of 5 started the Christmas season off on December 11th by getting their picture taken with Santa at Bass Pro. The kids had a blast on the wild life carousel and Daddy had a great time spending his Bass Pro gift cards! Here are the fun pics we got!

Though December is the season of Christmas, it is also Mommy's birthday! My sweet friends and I were trying to find a night where we could all go out and celebrate, but being a December birthday it was looking like it wasn't going to happen. Until finally I said, hey what about tomorrow night! Luckily, 4 out of the 7 of us could make it. I had a great time with my sweet friends Johnell, Audry and Teresa. I was given the cutest sweater, earrings and sweet CeCe's gift card (boy, these girls KNOW me!). I was also given another treat from the staff at Tito's!

On December 18th, the Washed By the Water Family had a Christmas party at the Pettus' house.The kids had a ball with crafts while the adults had fun with an awesome dirty Santa game. But, it really didn't matter what we did, we had a great time being together.

On Tuesday, December 20th Allendale had its annual Christmas caroling time as a school. Chloe performed with the 3rd grade chorus and Mommy performed with a group of teachers. Here is a picture of Santa and Ms. Claus breaking it down!
That night, Chris took me out for my birthday. We had an amazing time and an AMAZING meal at Stoney River Steak house! Sweet Rita and Leroy had the kids and were going to keep them all night for us, but Chloe got sick and we wanted her home with us. (We are definately looking forward to a raincheck though!)

This year it was time for Santa to come to OUR house Christmas morning. We started our own tradition Christmas eve by singing Christmas carols and reading a child's bible and a grown up bible about the story of Jesus' birth. Then off to bed to wait for Santa! On Christmas morning, the house looked beautiful with all his goodies under the tree. The girls were so excited about their new electronics. Koda was just happy to have some choo choo trains!

After we had opened all of the goodies from Santa and Mommy and Daddy, we packed some food and clothes in the van and headed to Belleview to have Christmas with the Carpenters. We didn't take a lot of pictures, but we had a lot of fun and a LOT of yummy food! Koda was hilarious as he "modeled" his new sweatshirt from Mindy and Phil. We laughed as he tried to figure out if his new 53 inch bear was real. It was such a great Christmas being with Rita, Leroy, Mindy and Phil opening gifts, eatting breakfast (and lunch) and watching a Dolphin's Tale.

Then, on December 26th, we headed to Arkansas for another Carpenter Christmas with Alan, Deanna, Emma, Izzy, Leroy and Rita. Little did I know I had a birthday celebration waiting for me as well!

Then on December 27th, we loaded the van and headed for Bartlesville, Oklahoma to see Grammie, Paw Paw, Kendra and Devin! As soon as we hugged and kissed hello, the Christmas presents began to open!

The kids were so excited about their gifts...and so were Mommy and Daddy! We opened a "gift card" from Mom and Dad for a new KING mattress. I cannot wait for movie night in our room!

This year, the boys decided to take a "guys trip". Dad, Chris and Devin went East and saw the world's tallest totem pole, the Will Rogers museum, Grand lake, and other "guy stuff".

We had many special memories this Christmas.

One of my personal favorites was spending two nights with Devin, Chloe and Cami creating Devin's lego scene. I don't know who was more excited to see it completed, Devin or me!

Well, it is after 1:00a.m. It is time to go to bed. Until January...or New Year's Eve :)

Remembering Ranch Heights

It is now a first grade room, but it felt the same.I walked down the halls that I once thought were so big, to find my class picture on the wall.

(Boy! I had bad hair!)

I, of course, had to put my girls on the "Wrangler!"

The best thing is that my nephew Devin is going to 4th grade there. When he picked him up, we saw his paper on the wall and decided to take a picture.

We LOVED reading about the things he was thankful for in his life. . . . yes, things, not PEOPLE! But, he is an honest little boy (who we are so thankful to have).

Even though Devin was thankful for "things", we are VERY thankful for him!

Cami lost her first tooth!

On Friday, December 9, my baby girl lost her first tooth! Even though she is only 5, Cami had a wiggly bottom front tooth. So, who did mommy take her to see?

Dr. Julie Holloway! Julie has been teaching and pulling out teeth for almost 15 years now! Little did I know, Daddy was very sad that he didn't have the honor of taking Cami's first tooth. So, next one will be yours Daddy, I promise!

Fun Days at Alendale!

This year to celebrate collecting cans for those in need, our school had a few fun dress up days! I was so upset that I did not get a picture of Chloe and Sterling as twins, but I did get a picture of Cami and Aubrey!

While we were in Oklahoma, the girls and I had so much fun playing fashion show with our old formals. CHloe loved modeling in my jr. prom dress...looks a bit too much like a bridal shot for this Mommy!

Then Chloe found Aunt Kendra's junior prom dress. . .

and decided to be a little comedian.

Even though my 9th grade homecoming dress swallowed the girls, they felt like true princesses.

thankful in oklahoma

This year for Thanksgiving we were able to spend a week in Oklahoma! The kids had so much fun playing with cousin Devin. Even tough Devin is 10, he still got down and played with Koda.

It was also really neat that they played with the bus that I got for my birthday!

I can see a little bit of Koda in that chubby face.

Cami loved playing with Devin!I LOVED seeing Chloe keep the family tradition alive with working a puzzle with Dad!

Though we waited for about an hour, the Bass Pro Santa was awesome! They had a wildlife carousel, games and even gave you a free picture! (Not to mention Daddy got to shop with his birthday money!) We were so proud of Cami for being so "brave". She almost bolted when it was our turn, but I told her I wanted her picture up on the mantle and she agreed to stand by his boot!

Seeing Winter

One weekend Chloe asked if we could see a movie. So, the three kiddos and I went to see A Dolphin's Tale. (Well, I got to see half of it since Koda wasn't wanting to stay for the whole movie). Little did we know that when we went to Florida for Scott and Kristen's wedding that we could go to the aquarium where Winter lived!These are not the best pictures, but I tried to get Winter swimming without her tail.

Mother's Day Retreat

For my Mother's Day, I got to have Sarah and Teri come stay with me for the whole weekend. Chris lovingly agreed to take the 3 kiddos to Rita and Leroy's for the Carpenter's Retreat.

(Rita always has adventures planned and the girls were pumped!)

When I saw the three of us, it was crazy how we had the same hair cut and color and similair clothes! We hadn't been together like this for years!

Our first stop was Chuy's. It was PERFECT! We sat on the patio on a beautiful sunny day with fruity drinks. We took NO ONE to the bathroom and were able to eat our meals while they were still warm!

As we were walking passed the prom dresses to the bathroom we decided we would try a few on when we got back from the restroom. . . needless to say, that never happened.

Chris called and he was on the side of the road with a broken down car. Rita and Leroy had just taken the kids and Leroy was on his way to th E.R. with Koda! Sweetly, he said not to worry and he would let me know how Koda was when he heard, but this Momma wasn't good with that. I spent from 4:00 until 12:00 at St. Thomas hospital with Leroy. After being thrown up on and waiting in a room for a couple of hours, I found that Koda had a VIRUS! I spent the night at the Carpenters and after seeing that Koda was on the mends and Chris' car was being fixed, Teri and Sarah drove to Belleview to pick me up!

So, we picked up the next day with shopping, lunch and came home to watch a rented movie.

Emerson and Britton were not quite up for a photo shoot, but I tried.

Sunday, we went to church and enjoyed one of our blast from the pasts. . Olive Garden!

Our Family Vacation

When we got our tax return money we decided it was time to take a trip as a family of 5!

So, we packed up the kids and headed to Dollywood! It was the opening day that Saturday, so we thought we would stay at a hotel with an indoor pool and have our first family trip!

We could not believe how much the kids loved the show! Even Koda was glued to the horses!

Speaking of horses. . . . Chloe had been talking about how she wanted to ride a horse. After this one, she got on a real one!

Christmas in Oklahoma

In Oklahoma, we like to open one gift on Christmas eve. Koda opened his new blanket from Grammie. It was a black bear blanket...how cute is he?

Morning Snuggles

The morning is a crazy time for us (ME) in the Carp house. Chris is gone by 6:00 to drive the bus. So, this leaves super mom to get ready and then get three children fed and dressed... and make sure all bags and lunches are packed and ready to go....I am not a morning person, so this has not been easy for me. BUT, when I come out of the shower to see me sweet hearts lovin' on each other in my bed, my stress fades and I see how blessed I am!

On November 9th, our beloved Uncle Scott turned the big 4-0. To celebrate, Kristen threw him a Titans vs. Redskins Party. The girls were so excited! They knew exactly what they wanted to buy him! Chloe wanted to buy him "hair" and Cami "the thing that makes you toot" (a whoopie cushion). Well, here is what that looks like.....Scott Dirt!

But the real excitement was on the trampoline, when uncle Phil broke every vertebrae in his back jumping with the girls on his back!

Thanksgiving this year

This Thanksgiving, my house got hit with many interesting "blessings". Chris got hit with the flu the week before, only to have it turn into pneumonia. He turned 38 sleeping on the couch!Then Koda had an ear infection and PINK EYE... We won't leave Chloe and her chronic asthma coughing out, or Cami and her ever flowing nose. So, this Momma is thankful for no school for a few days and for medicines to make my family better. (And dreaming of a night's stay ALONE in a hotel!)

Papa walked all over Disney never complaining about his hip! Then on the 12th of November, he got a brand new one! To brighten his hospital stay, we didn't come with flowers or balloons....we came with GRANDKIDS!Koda loves his Papa

On October 24th, our church had a baby dedication. Grammie and Paw Paw and Darlin and Papa were there as we celebrated Koda Anthony Carpenter.

Before Koda's dedication, we got to take our first family picture! Thank you TSC for the opportunity.....can't wait to see what it looks like when we are actually facing the camera! God definately blessed us with beautiful children.

This year we went to the Dodds' to trick or treat with a Roman, Roman princess, spiderman and Thomas the train....Oh, and TONYA!But, by the end of trick or treating, the sweet Mother costume took a turn to the half spider half train woman! Here is a quick peek at out amazing trip to Disney World. Thanks to Darlin and Papa, the WHOLE Carpenter family went to Disney World for a wonderful, exhausting trip we will never forget!

It all started on Saturday.

Koda did fabulous on his first plane trip.

Cami hadn't flown since she was a baby. But, you would never have known.

She just wanted to make sure Izzy was at her side!

On Sunday, we decided to hit

Disney's smallest park, Hollywood. Here is our first of many rides in the shuttle. Watch out Disney.....here we come!

Koda has no idea what he is in for!

Other than the Tower of Terror (which Cami rode 2 times!) and the Aerosmith Rollar coaster, I really enjoyed the 30 minute show of Beauty and the Beast. It was awesome. Koda loves the theater!

The ONLY line we waited in at Disney was in Hollywood at the Toy Story ride/game....but our 80 minute wait flew by....espeacially for Koda!

Chloe and Cami got to pick out their "ears". It is funny to me how different they are! One is a pirate with skulls and the other a princess with lace!

Monday was our day at Epcot! The girls had reservations to have breakfast

with the princesses for Cameron's 4th birthday! How excited were we to eat breakfast in Norway at the Akershus Castle! We were quite multi-cultural with Princess Aurora, Pocahontas, Flutter the fairy, and Mulan!

When we walked into the castle, Belle was there to take pictures with us!

With her hand still on her hip, Birthday Princess got her picture taken with Belle. What an amazing 4th birthday! Cami (and I) will never forget it. At breakfast she said, "Mommy, I know those are the real princesses. They have skin!"

But, the funniest thing to this Momma, was Cami wanted to know where the PRINCES were! We asked Snow White and she said that Aurora was having breakfast with Prince Phillip for their anniversary....Prince Charming was riding horses and Prince Eric was washing his dog Max....never got where that Aladin was!

How excited were we to see Sleepy Beauty after our breakfast! Though Cami was star stuck by her favorite princess, we ended up getting a hug.

On Tuesday, we headed for Diney World! Sweet Koda will hate this picture one day, but waiting in lines makes one do silly things!

The photographer actually asked ME to get a picture with Belle. But when I went to stand by her, he said, "no! the back of your shirt with her!" oops

This was Izzy's, I mean Flutter's, favorite!

On Wednesday, we went to Animal Kingdom. Being 43 inches stinks when rides are insisting on 44! So, Cami got treated to many Mickey ice creams. She seemed to enjoy it on her face more than in her mouth!

One of my favorite shows at Animal Kingdom was not the Bird Show, but the Cami show. Cami got to wear Kristen's bracelet and stood with her hand on her hip for most of the show!

As half of us jumped on the monorail to meet the group back at magic kingdom for the parade and fireworks, we realized it was taking much longer to get there.....we were actually going the wrong way! Yes, we had taken the wrong monorail, not to Magic Kingdom but to EPCOT!

Luckily, one of us was able to read the sign and we were on our way to the parade/firework show at the Magic Kingdom!

Right before the fireworks, we had time to let Cami drive again. She loved being the one behind the wheel!

We came to Disney when the park was decorated with pumpkins and Halloween decor. We opted not to go to Mickey's not so scarey Halloween party, but loved seeing all the awesome costumes coming into the park that night.

On October 18th, Cameron Elise Carpenter turned 4. It only seems right to have 4 parties!

How excited were we to get Koda a new exersaucer (that is what they are called right?) and a new jumping toy! Seeing that two years ago we thought we were finished with our family of 4, we got rid of everything baby related we had. We did this thinking if we had another, we would just borrow or get new ones. Hello! These things cost like $100! So, poor Koda was doomed to bouncing on mommy's lap!

Then we saw a friend (who happens to run Kidz Klozet consignment) and she said she was stuck with these two items! Can we say, "God is good!"

Can you believe my girls are on a scooter? We have the sweetest friend who had a scooter. He got a new dirt bike. Little Super Stars

When we ate at Pancho's Thursday afternoon we thought we were early enough to miss the Karoke, but look who was first in line! Chloe sang Baby, Baby and had a table of football players singing along.

Little Sister was hesitant at first, but with Chloe at her ear, Cami belted out her own song! Cami tried to sing The Best of Both Worlds and sang the chorus beautifully.

Even though we had a great time, it wasn't the best reason we were there...our sweet friends the Burkes are moving to California. We will miss them terribly, but are happy you are moving closer to family......even though this family will always be here for you too!

Allendale Alligators

This year Chloe and I started at a brand new school. Allendale Elementary is the school our neighborhood is zoned for, so we decided to transfer from CRES. Though I miss a lot of the family I had at Chapman's, I am loving being at Allendale. I adore my team, administration and have a sweet class!

On August 8th, we had a ribbon cutting ceremony for the public to see our awesome new building. Now, I know you are thinking, "shouldn't that have been outside?" but, seeing that it was 100 degrees outside, we had it in the gym.

Then it came...August 12th....my Chloe Grace was a second grader!

This year she was UPSTAIRS....In Mrs. Maxwell's class........who we LOVE!!!!And look whose artwork was already on the school's hallway!!!!

Coming back from Oklahoma, my family had the opportunity to stay in Cabot at Deanna and Alan's house without them there..... it was crazy how things took a crazy turn.
I woke up to find Chris leaving for "his route"

only to return due to the heat..... but like all hard working Cabot men, he was able to relax with a cold one and a good Cabot wife who knows how to treat her man.... Needless to say, Chris felt very comfortable in his brothers "shoes"

I thank God daily for the friends that He has blessed me with. But, going back to work meant not seeing my closest friends that I had been able to talk to daily. And of course, little sis and little brother came along. (By the way, Chloe is so sweet about having Cami with her and her friends. She amazes me sometimes!) Then we headed home for pizza.....presents....

And then it was time to slumber....wait doesn't that mean sleep?Chloe asked if they could stay up all night, knowing that they would surely pass out at midnight, I said sure!...at 3 a.m. Mommy had to lay down the law and told them to shut their eyes and

So, if you know us, you know that the Apples are some of our dearest friends. Betty and Keith are like family to us and well, Keith is one of Chris' BFFs. Just look at them. Together they canoe in flood water, put Christmas trees in people's yards, and well, just get into a lot of trouble!!!! Watch out world because here comes Keith II and Chris II!

Koda is not so sure of this Joaquin at first.....
But after he takes a bite, he learns he is super sweet!And now they are ready for life's adventures and the trouble that will come their way!

On May 10, Mommy went back to work. And who came to save the day......Grammie and Paw Paw! This was Paw Paw's first time to see his second grandson.

So, needless to say we took lots of pictures. Poor Grammie didn't get in any pictures! She must have been in the middle of one of the 10,000 loads of laudry she did!

Words cannot express how grateful we were to have them here watching the kiddos while we were at work..... and then feeding us at yummy restaurants everynight! But, then they did something crazy! Mom decided that she didn't need her van....WE DID! So, when they left us they didn't take their Toyota Siena, but our Toyota Corolla!

Thanks Mom and Dad for again saving the day!

6 weeks of Koda

Being baby #3, Koda has not had so many pictures taken like the other two. I didn't realize it until my sweet sister asked me to take some pictures. So here are some shots from this week!

This guy always gets up with the girls so that I can sneak in another 1 hour nap.
